Downstairs is a celeb-shrouded upscale lounge that brings an urban club atmosphere to an intimate venue. Partially owned by actor Danny Masterson, the club brought big names to Park City in its first months with appearances by Velvet Revolvers drummer Matt Sorum at its Grand Opening and DJ Mom Jeans - Masterson himself. During Sundance, Downstairs threw some of the Festival’s most coveted after-parties, featuring Paul Oakenfold and Dirty Vegas. Its world-class sound system and brand new DJ booth have allowed Downstairs to continue bringing in quality artists, from local sensation Labcoat to Hollywood icon Samantha Ronson.
Recent activity: Downstairs’ new Saturday Set lineup has brought even bigger acts to Park City, often for their first performances ever in Utah. Dirt Nasty, Frankie Inglese, DJ Skeet Skeet and Z-Trip all made their Park City debuts at Downstairs.
Uppers: Ladies No Cover, Celebrity shows in close, intimate space
Downers: Small space fills quickly, so get on the list or go early
From Downstairs:
“Downstairs brings something refreshingly new to Park City’s historic Main Street with a contemporary and comfortable atmosphere that offers a wide array of events to suit all different social tastes. Downstairs has created an environment that elegantly walks the line of being a lounge, bar and performance space. On a weekly basis the room will house up and coming national musicians, bands, DJs and celebrity acts for rare, intimate performances.
The creators of Downstairs have truly tried to create an energy and environment that can be enjoyed by the locals while serving as a refreshing taste of something different for the tourists. We strive to raise our guest’s expectations and create an experience that will have them returning time and time again.”

The Sidecar: Best People & Pizza
333 Main Street
(435) 645-SHOT

The Sidecar has undergone a makeover in recent months as Fat Kid Pizza legend Steve Maxwell (of Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery) took over management. The bar now offers roomy booths, a pool table and a brand new stage. A mix of live bands and DJs comprise the music lineup, and locals can take a shot at open mic on Mondays. The outdoor balcony is still the best place to catch a breath of fresh air (or a smoke) while overlooking Main Street.
Uppers: Roomy booths, balcony, FAT KID
Downers: Weekend covers becoming the norm
Nightly Entertainment:
Sundays: DJ J.D. for SIN Night ($2 slices, $2 wells, $2 drafts)
Mondays: Open Mic
Thursdays: DJs
Fridays & Saturdays: Live Music

“The Locals’ Night Club”
Known for cheap drinks, pool, hookah and music that packs their spacious dance floor, the Star Bar has become a regular hangout for young locals and dance-loving tourists. In-house DJs, live bands and innovative global music movements have also made the Star Bar a favorite among young internationals. The bar that featured South American baile funk nights last year has now launched a full-blown reggae movement, featuring a new live reggae act every Wednesday with Jamaican rum specials.
Nightly Entertainment:
Mondays: DJ Shawn Williams
Wednesdays: Welcome 2 Zion – $3 Redstripe.
Thursdays: Live Local Hip Hop
Fridays: $1 Drink night with DJ Jalal
Saturdays: Live Bands. Hukah Pipes with fruity flavored herbal tobacco

Matisyahu - World's Hottest Rapping Hasidic Jew
The “World Famous” Harry O’s has brought in Park City’s biggest acts in recent years, leveraging the largest stage on Main Street to host the likes of Kanye West, Armin Van Buuren, Danity Kane, Velvet Revolvers and DJ Sky Nellor. Although the overwhelming number of roped-off “VIP” sections (leading to a notoriously diminished dance floor) sometimes frustrates locals, Harry O’s also hosts weekly “Industry Nights” geared to service staff. This isn’t a place you’ll find Park Citizens kicking back for a beer, but when a famed artist like Matisyahu rolls into town, you can bet the town will show up.
Uppers: Huge concerts on the comfort of Main Street
Downers: Innumerable VIP sections

Rapping Mo' From Provo: Matt Lewis & Band at The Spur
More than a few locals are probably wondering why the title doesn’t just read: “Best Cougars.” The well-known hunting ground for women of a certain age (seeking boys half their age) could probably also win “Best People Watching at the Midnight Hour.” But this is secondary to The Spur’s real specialty: wildly entertaining artists. In the last year alone, The Spur has introduced Park City to a freestyle rapping Mormon (Matt Lewis), soulful beat-boxing blondes from Idaho (The Shook Twins), nationally billed alternative rock (Caroline Spine), and local reggae talent (Zion Tribe). Between the on- and off-stage entertainment, amazing food and unusually good-looking bartenders, The Spur attracts large crowds all year long.
Uppers: Lots of seating and lounge space, best bartender in Park City (ask for Layne), beautiful VIP room
Downers: Occasional terrible pick-up lines

Lindzee’s says:
You want game? They got game! In fact, Lindzee O’Michaels has more games than any other bar in Park City. Pool (of course), Darts (are you kidding, yes), Shuffleboard (hell yeah), Foosball (duh), Golden Tee & Buck Hunter (plugged in), Ping Pong (damn straight) and Bimini Ring (please).
The outdoor patio next to Park City’s Main Street waterfall is the perfect place to relax, unwind, chat with friends and have a great time. Since its grand opening in July, Lindzee’s has developed a reputation as one of Main’s best outdoor hot spots, with a mix of locals and SLC party-goers crowding the dance floor on weekends. Music legend Terence Hanson has taken over Friday nights (with special appearances by Bon Jovi bass player Hugh McDonald), with local musicians filling out the week. If you’re looking for calm, Lindzee’s probably isn’t the place to go. This is a loud, fun, dancetastic kinda drinking hole. Look for cheap thrills throughout the week, starting with drink specials Monday through Thursday.
